Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday in which drug impairment is suspected as a factor for the driver.
Quinten J. Turner, 29, of Dayton, was transported by Rushcreek EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash on County Road 25 near Township Road 136.
Deputies reported Turner was operating a southbound 1995 Cadillac Deville on C.R. 25 when he drove off the left side of the road and overcorrected, traveling off the right side of the road and striking a guardrail.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies said Turner was making abnormal and rapid movements as he spoke to them and his pupils appeared small. Deputies asked him if he had consumed drugs that evening, and he told them he had “only smoked some marijuana.”
Deputies said he also had difficulty walking while interacting with them and with paramedics on the scene.
Turner was transported to the hospital and his vehicle was towed from the scene. A report has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office for determination of charges for drug abuse and failure to control.
