Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a southbound car on State Route 117 near County Road 96 about 7:10 a.m. when he drove left of center to avoid striking a vehicle in front of him. His vehicle went into the northbound lane and was struck in the front driver’s side by a northbound car operated by Porfirio A. Lopez, 39, of Columbus.
Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.
• Kylea J. Page, 30, of Columbus, was cited for failure to control as a result of a non-injury crash about 5:20 a.m. Wednesday on State Route 540.
Deputies report she was operating a westbound jeep when she failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of County Road 5 and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a Dayton Power & Light utility box.
Her vehicle struck a bush before coming to a rest. She was wearing her seat belt, and damage was heavy to the jeep, which was towed from the scene.
Theft of trailer reported
Deputies spoke with Gary Ginter of Bellefontaine Saturday afternoon regarding the theft of a trailer from 500 N. Main St., Lakeview.
Deputies said this was the second trailer reported stolen within several days and the detective division is investigating.
