Michael Hurley, 19, Botkins, of charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and for underage consumption as a result of a traffic stop about 4:35 a.m. Sunday.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reportedly observed his car traveling at 97 mph in a70 mph zone on U.S. Route 33 near State Route 540 and initiated the stop.
Troopers found that Hurley had consumed an alcoholic beverage and that he was underage.
Teen transported from C.R. 43 crash
Paisley Jacobs, 18, DeGraff, was transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in a crash about 6:35 a.m. Sunday on County Road 43.
Troopers report she was operating an eastbound car just east of County Road 201 when she lost control of her vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway, over corrected and traveled off the roadway down an embankment. Her car then struck a utility pole.
Jacobs was wearing her seat belt and was cited for failure to control. Damage was heavy to the vehicle, which was towed from the scene.
