Rachel L. Koyl, 26, of 11190 County Road 70, Quincy, was charged Sunday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was cited for an improper turn at an intersection and having an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle.
Around 1:55 a.m., she was observed southbound in a van on Detroit Street. When she turned onto Auburn Avenue, she drove across the nearest lane and directly into the furthest lane. The van nearly struck a curb.
At Auburn and Main Street, Koyl stopped for a red light and then waited an estimated 10 seconds to proceed after the light turned green.
She proceeded east to Park Street before turning southbound and pulled off the side with the passenger wheels on the curb and sidewalk.
Upon contact, officers detected an odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired by alcohol. Her breathalyzer result was 0.127.
Multiple empty cans of beer were found in the van along with multiple pipes with marijuana residue.
