Participants in the Doors of EnCOURAGEment project are asked to drop off their completed doors Friday before 5:30 p.m. or Saturday morning until 11 a.m. at Wren’s Florist & Greenhouse, 500 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine
The doors will be set up in the Bellefontaine area early Sunday morning, and the display officially begins Monday.
A public auction of the doors is slated for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the Logan County Fairground.
Door decorations should be positive and respectful of the cause, but do not have to be cancer-related.
The project benefits the Logan County Cancer Society, a charitable organization administered by the Mary Rutan Foundation.
The organization provides cancer patients with up to $750 per month for fuel expenses for treatment and medical appointments, up to $300 per month for cancer-related medications and $200 per month for medical supply reimbursement. Individuals also are eligible for a wig value up to $300 annually, and a fund for emergency expenses is available.
