Discovery Riders will be hosting a Sensory Sensitive and Socially Distanced Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Linda Lane Hauck Equestrian Center, 1797 E. State Route 47, Bellefontaine.
Local businesses, organizations, and community members will line the parking lot at the equestrian center to hand out candy and goodies as kids and families walk through dressed in costumes.
As a sensitive sensory event, all of attendees and trunk displays to refrain from doing the following: wearing scary costumes or masks; using fog machines, strobe lights/ lighting effects, and loud music; scaring or intimidating attendees with costumes or mannerisms will not be tolerated.
During the event, attendees can tour the facility and learn about the programs offered at Discovery Riders. Local food trucks will be catering this evening’s event. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Discovery Riders complies with local health department regulations for COVID-19. All trunk participants and attendees will be adhering to the Discovery Riders’ COVID-19 policies.
Groups are encouraged to register their trunks by e-mailing Discovery Riders at info. The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 14.
The organization is also seeking donations of candy and sensory friendly items such as stickers and educational knick-knacks.
