Chicken barbecue details announced
Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities Superintendent Saul Bauer offered a special welcome at the board’s Thursday evening meeting to Discovery Center staff and students as they head back to class for the 2016-17 school year.
Staff returned to work Wednesday, and preschool children will return in the upcoming week on Monday and Wednesday. One new instructor assistant, Sherri Ullom, also joined the staff this week after completing her new hire orientation.
Members also discussed the LCBDD Auxiliary Foundation’s 29th annual chicken barbecue, which is slated for Thursday, Oct. 6. The meal will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will include a Port A Pit half chicken, applesauce, chips, cookie, roll and butter for $8 a person.
