MARYSVILLE — Deputies of the Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Delaware, Ohio, man Tuesday related to a burglary on Whitestone Road in Union County.
Christopher E. Richardson, 38, was charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Monday evening, deputies responded to a residence in the 17000 block of Whitestone Road to investigate a burglary. Deputies learned that sometime during the day, the residence was entered and several guns were stolen.
As a result of the investigation, deputies recovered three of the stolen guns in New Dover Estates.
Deputies report that the defendant allegedly approached several different homes Monday and knocked on the doors to see if anyone would answer. If someone did answer the door, he would make an excuse as to why he was there and move on to another home.
Union County Sheriff Malcum J. Patton encourages residents in Dover Township and the surrounding area to call the sheriff’s office if they experienced an unknown visitor Monday.
