A repreat offender was imprisoned Friday in Logan County Common Pleas Court for using drugs while undergoing in-patient treatment as part of his community control.
Skylar Stoneburner, 22, of Russells Point, was sentenced to four years in prison for violating terms of his probation.
Stoneburner had admitted using cocaine during his time of treatment at the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility.
The West Central facility discharged Stoneburner for his violation of the facility’s rule prohibiting use of illegal drugs and his failure to complete his treatmentat West Central also was a violation of his probation.
Stoneburner was convicted in January of 2019 of attempted robbery, a felony of third degree, for his participation in a robbery of an employee of Woody’s Diner in Russells Point. The robbers stole approximately $1,400 and the victim’s purse and struck the victim with a baseball bat during the commission of the offense.
On Feb. 19, 2019, former Judge William T. Goslee placed Stoneburner on probation for 5 years.
On June 17, 2020, while on probation, Stoneburner pleaded guilty to theft, a felony of the fifth degree.
June 27, 2020, Judge Kevin P. Braig sentenced Stoneburner to another probation term and to complete
substance abuse and other programming at
West Central.
