Another victim has come forward with allegations that Malachi J. Dawson, 20, engaged in sexual activity with her, according to an amended indictment handed up this week by a Logan County grand jury.
The latest indictment adds a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony of the fourth degree; soliciting, a felony of the third degree; and counterfeiting, a felony of the fourth degree.
According to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office, the latest victim is a 14-year-old city girl who was victimized between February and August of last year.
Dawson was previously charged with three counts of rape, felonies of the first degree; four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, felonies of the fourth degree; two counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the fourth degree; and attempted gross sexual imposition, a felony of the fifth degree.
He was named in an October indictment for offenses involving three other victims, girls ages 13, 14 and 16, between February through June of 2020.
An amended indictment in earlier this year includes those charges plus additional charges from an alleged rape of a 20-year-old Bellefontaine woman on Jan. 5.
Dawson has been lodged in the Logan County Jail since his Jan. 6 arrest.
All of the cases were investigated by the Bellefontaine Police Department.
