Indian Lake’s boys and girls track and field teams battled through cold and wet conditions to compete in a six-team meet at Milton-Union on Tuesday.
Bellbrook won the girls meet with 243 points, Waynesville was second with 124 points and Milton-Union was third with 56 points. The Laker girls finished fifth with 34 points.
The boys meet saw Waynesville finish in first with 145.5 points. Bellbrook was second with 126 points, Milton-Union took third with 114.5 points and the Lakers were fourth with 90 points.
Joey Davidson led Indian Lake’s top placers by winning the 200 and the shot put. Justin Young won the high jump, Brandon Henderson won the pole vault, while a first-place finish also came from the 400 relay of Cole Merritt, Henderson, Colton Wilson and Austin Beck.
Taking second were the 800 relay of Merritt, Wilson, Beck and Troy Carter and the 1,600 relay of Merritt, Carter, Young and Addison Wagner.
Indian Lake’s girls saw Caylee Wurster record wins in the 100 and 200, with a runner-up finish coming from the 400 relay of Wurster, Kacie Bush, Morgan Coppel and Krissa Bailey.
The Lakers are back in action Friday at the Kenton Relays.
