David Russell Dick, 70, died Jan. 11, 2016, at his home in Fairfax Station, Va.
He was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Freeman Russell and Anna Kathryn Cottrell Dick. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery.
Survivors include his wife Carol; twin children, Stephen and Kelly; and brother, Stephen Gregory Dick.
A former member of the First United Presbyterian Church, David graduated from Bellefontaine High School and The Ohio State University, and earned a master’s degree from the University of North Colorado.
A retired colonel in the United States Air Force, he dedicated his life to our country’s defense and national security. David recently was honored at a recognition ceremony at the Pentagon.
A Celebration of Life chapel service and military burial are at the Arlington National Cemetery with a date and details announced as they become available.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
