Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team did not have an answer for Springfield Shawnee’s combination of Jamon Miller and Zion Crowe on Friday.
Miller scored 21 points and Crowe tossed in 20 as the host Braves ran to a 65-40 win over the Chiefs in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division boys basketball game.
Bellefontaine falls to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the CBC, while the Braves improve to 8-1, 4-1.
The Braves grabbed a 16-point lead (35-19) at halftime and they led by 29 (57-28) after three quarters.
Hunter Warner led Bellefontaine with 10 points and Kam Smith and Jarrid Baughman each had nine for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine was plagued by 15 turnovers.
There was no junior varsity game Friday.
In the freshman contest, Bellefontaine lost 46-18. Dominic Latimer led the Chiefs with five points.
Bellefontaine is back in action tonight at Versailles.
