Tara S. Fout, 35, and Sean M. Rollins, 37, both of 1001 N. Park St., each was charged Monday with domestic violence.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department arrived at the residence shortly before 8:40 p.m. to hear yelling coming from the front of residence. Two young children, crying and screaming, met officers in the driveway.
After interviewing both adults and several children in the residence, officers determined Fout had hit Rollins with a flashlight after he repeatedly swung at her.
Both had been consuming alcohol, officers report.
Rollins agreed to leave the residence. He refused to allow officers to photograph his facial and ear injuries or fill out a statement.
Both were issued summonses.
Man falls prey to eBay scam
A city man told officers on Tuesday he fell for a fake online vehicle sales scam and lost $1,000 in September.
He responded to an advertisement on eBay and was instructed to purchase a $1,000 in eBay gift cards. He then provided the numbers to secure the vehicle purchase on Sept. 14, but never received further information from his contact.
The victim contacted eBay and company representatives report there is no record of the transaction.
