Bellefontaine City Councilman Allen Hadley resigned his seat Friday.
His resignation was submitted Jan. 6, citing personal reasons.
Hadley had served as an at-large member of the city council since 2011.
The Logan County Republican Central Committee are to meet and choose a replacement.
Applications are being accepted through Jan. 22.

City council was his first post in politics, and Hadley said when he joined council that he was looking forward to serving the community.
Allen has been married for 37 years to his wife Judy and has lived in Bellefontaine for 24 years. Judy and Allen have two married children and three grandchildren.
Allen is a retired teacher from Bellefontaine City Schools. He is currently employed as a driving instructor for Ohio Driving School and also employed for Quality Residential Alternatives. He is active in the fine arts and has directed various community musicals throughout the years.
