Constance Marie “Connie” Griffin, 77, of Marion, died Jan. 25, 2016, at The OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born March 4, 1938, in Lakeview, to the late Bernard W. and Virginia Nelson Parr.
On Aug. 10, 1958, she married Ron Griffin at the Grace Chapel Christian Union Church in Santa Fe. He survives, along with two sons, Jeffrey L. (Carol) Griffin of Marion and Craig L. (Tara) Griffin of Worthington; four grandchildren, Dan (Alicia) Griffin, Sarah Griffin, Alex Griffin and Elena Griffin; a great-grandson, Cooper Griffin; and a brother, Gene Parr of Marion.
Connie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waldo. In her younger years, she was a Rainbow Girl with the Order of the Eastern Star and an accountant for the Howard Swink Advertising Agency and the Lord Sullivan and Yoder Advertising Agency.
She was a premier cook who loved taking care of her family, always making things from scratch. Her homemaking talents also extended to sewing quilts and blankets.
Pastor Sarah Schaaf officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Waldo, where visitation begins at 10 a.m. Burial follows in Waldo Cemetery.
