Clarence Michael “Mike” Savage, 69, of Russells Point, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13, 2021, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, due to complications of Covid-19.
Mike was born in Dayton, on July 7, 1951 to the late Richard William and Catherine Rosine (Robinson) Savage. He was also preceded in death by a son Joseph Ryan Savage, brother Richard Dane Savage, and former wife Jennifer Savage.
Mike married Janet McMillen on July 30, 1999, and she survives. He is also survived by his son Sammy Lee (Robin) Savage of Mississippi; daughter Michelle (Jack) Barnes of Piqua; daughter-in-law Tammy Savage of Kendallville, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four siblings: Linda (Carl) Henderson of Russells Point, Penny (Jerry) Vivoda of Indian Lake, Darren (Sharon) Savage of Belle Center, and Kelly Savage of Russells Point; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A painter by trade, Mike worked for and retired from Kenton Structural as a welder. He enjoyed boating, fishing and family activities.
A celebration of life dinner is being planned for a warmer day in the spring or summer, when family and friends can gather outside to share stories of Mike.
