Bellefontaine Mayor Ben Stahler, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center printing and graphics instructor Tom Carrig and Sarha Loudermilk check out the city’s recently completed historic timeline, which is on display on the second floor of the municipal building, 135 N. Detroit St., Bellefontaine. During 2020 in honor of the city’s bicentennial, Mayor Stahler reached out to Carrig, with his idea for an historic timeline. Mr. Carrig selected Sarha, a high school senior Bellefontaine/Ohio Hi-Point, to work with the mayor on the Senior Capstone Project. The finishing touches were completed this week with 35 historic photos. “I’m really proud of the effort that Sarha put into this project. She worked closely with the Logan County History Center to select these historic images,” Carrig said. “This is just what I had envisioned,” Mayor Stahler said. “The timeline begins in the 1770’s with Blue Jacket and continues on to our present day bicentennial 2020. We live in a community with such a rich history. This is a public display for all to enjoy for many years to come.” (CITY OF BELLEFONTAINE PHOTO)
