Representatives from Citizens Federal Savings and Loan Association announced this week that the company has purchased the property located at 100 N. Main St., in downtown Bellefontaine, located at the northeast corner of north Main Street and east Columbus Avenue.

The company settled into its current location facility at 110 N. Main Street in 1920, which is adjacent to the newly purchased100 N. Main St. property.
The newly acquired property, which has been vacant for more than 10 years, was purchased by Citizens Federal Thursday, May 27.
“Downtown Bellefontaine has been home to Citizens Federal for more than 135 years,” said Justin Dinovo, Citizens Federal president. “Over the years we have evolved to meet the needs of the community. We are excited to announce the next chapter of our story with our real estate purchase of 100 North Main Street in Bellefontaine, Ohio.”
The company has not officially announced plans for the future of its current location.
They also have yet to announce an expected timeline for the renovation of the newly purchased property.
Representatives said that they will update customers and the community as the planning process continues.
“The next several months we will be renovating the property to be the new home for Citizens Federal,” Dinovo said. “Our mission has always focused on serving this community and we can’t wait for the next chapter.”
