Bellefontaine’s softball team scored a run in the seventh inning to rally past Tecumseh 3-2 on Wednesday in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail game.
The Chieftains bump their record to 8-10 overall and 4-8 in the CBC Kenton Trail. The Arrows slip to 8-11, 4-8.
Bellefontaine struck first with a run in the second inning and the Chiefs added another run in the third inning for a 2-0 lead.
Tecumseh knotted the score at 2-2 with two runs in the sixth inning. Bellefontaine was able to pull ahead with a run in the top of the seventh and held off Tecumseh in the bottom of the frame.
The Chieftain offense saw Lindsey Heminger and Aubrey Hudson both went 2-3 with a double, Rianna Fullerton went 2-4 and Riley Fullerton went 2-2.
In the pitching circle, Tayteum Vigansky piled up 14 strikeouts in getting the win.
