Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team dropped a pair of matches earlier this week. The Chieftains fell 5-0 to Lima Shawnee on Monday and then lost to Tippecanoe 3-2 on Tuesday in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
Against the Indians, Tyler Frantz was defeated at first singles 5-7, 6-4, 6-1, Max Wilcoxon lost at second singles 6-1, 6-2 and Min Lin lost at third singles 6-0, 6-0.
The first doubles team of Derek Markley and Lindsay Stevenson fell 6-0, 6-0 and the second doubles team of J.P. Attar and Hunter Karg lost 6-0, 6-0.
In the match against the Red Devils, the Chiefs saw wins from Frantz at first singles 6-3, 6-0 and Wilcoxon at second singles 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Also for the Chiefs, Lin was defeated at third singles 6-1, 4-6, 6-0, the second doubles team of Markley and Stevenson lost 6-0, 6-0 and the second doubles team of Attar and Karg also fell 6-0, 6-0.
