It was a Logan County sweep of the player of the year awards at the Central Buckeye Conference boys golf tournament Thursday.
Bellefontaine junior Liam Harris locked up the Kenton Trail player of the year honor after shooting a 79 at Lakeland Golf Course, while Indian Lake junior Lane McPherson wrapped up the Mad River player of the year award with an 80.
Bellefontaine shot a 374 to finish fifth in the Kenton Trail division.
After Harris and his 79 for Bellefontaine were Joe Boop with a 95, Austin Hammond with a 99, Kody Watts with a 101 and Aidan Mifsud with a 112.
Benjamin Logan was third in the Mad River division tournament with a 366 and the Lakers were fourth with a 380.
Jacob Mitchell shot an 84 to lead the Raiders. Ethan Ricketts had an 86, Aiden Elsass shot 97, Luke McKenrick had 99 and Aaron Vogelsang shot 109.
Supporting McPherson for the Lakers were Camdon Tuttle with a 98, Josh Staley with a 99, Tyler Michael with a 103 and Dylan Rice and Maddux Hall with 105s.
Jonathan Alder won the KT tourney Thursday with a 314. Kenton Ridge was second with a 336, Tecumseh was third with 350, London was fourth with 371 and Shawnee was sixth with 412.
Tecumseh’s Pierce Grimpe was the medalist with a 73.
Graham won the MR tourney title with a 347. Urbana was close behind in second with a 349. Northwestern was fifth with 393 and North Union was sixth with 488.

The Lakers and Raiders will play in the Division II sectional Tuesday at Reid Park in Springfield. Bellefontaine will have a week off before playing Oct. 6 in the Division I sectional at Reid Park.
