Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team won over Springfield Shawnee 3-2 on Thursday in Central Buckeye Conference action.
The Chiefs’ Courtney Sims won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles over Hailey Berry and Mia Neer prevailed 6-0, 6-0 over Olivia Stickney at second singles.
Bellefontaine’s Julia Easton lost her first set at third singles, won her second set and was trailing 4-3 in the third set when it was called because of darkness.
Bellefontaine’s second doubles team of Jenna Snyder and Savannah Sheeley won 6-0, 6-1 over Gabby Henigan and Sadie Pippin.
The Chiefs’ first doubles team of Alika Shields and Kinsley Scott was defeated by Emily Doerflein and Savannah Crawford 7-5, 6-4.
