Bellefontaine’s boys soccer team picked up its second tie in as many outings Tuesday night at AcuSport Stadium.
The Chiefs, who tied Kenton in their season opener Friday, played to a 1-1 tie against visiting Botkins.
Isaiah Henry gave the Chiefs a 1-0 lead off an assist from Dakota Shell.
Botkins struck back with about nine minutes left in the match, tying the game at 1-1. Neither team was able to come up with a winning goal in the final minutes.
“Our defense played really well against a big, fast, and skilled team,” said BHS coach Jeff Turner. “Our senior back line is really taking pride in their final year of high school soccer.”
Ryan Johnson had a strong game in goal for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine is back in action Saturday at Tecumseh.
