Effective, Tuesday, May 31, all Examiner home-delivery subscribers will begin receiving their newspaper via the U.S. Mail.
Significantly higher fuel prices and difficulty recruiting and replacing carriers now make it necessary for the Examiner to utilize the USPS for delivery service.
Subscribers should expect same-day delivery of their newspaper with their other mail.
Customers who are “missed” or who experience other delivery disruptions may still contact the newspaper’s subscription department at (937) 592-3060 and dial “Option 4” when prompted.
Examiner management expects delivery via mail will provide a more consistent delivery service right to subscribers’ mailboxes, with fewer misses or instances where a paper is wet, torn or damaged.
The change brings an end more than 130 years of dedicated delivery service provided by the Examiner’s independently contracted carriers. The Examiner wishes to extend its gratitude and appreciation to all those, past and present, who worked as a delivery carrier for the newspaper though the years.
