Cedarville’s girls basketball team used the strength of a key third quarter to drop visiting West Liberty-Salem 44-36 in an Ohio Heritage Conference meeting.
It was the first league loss of the season for the Tigers, who are now 9-1 in the OHC and 15-3 overall. The Indians improve to 16-3 overall and 8-3 in the OHC.
WL-Salem held a 7-6 lead after the opening quarter and outscored Cedarville 10-8 in the second quarter. That put the Tigers ahead 17-14 entering halftime.
