Bruce A. Mathews, 55 of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Ohio State Medical Center.
Bruce was born February 21, 1966, in Bellefontaine to Franklin Eugene and Loretta Jean (Wilcoxon) Mathews.
Bruce as a hard worker, working many years for Lee’s Roofing & Spouting; doing various jobs from renovating to landscaping. When Bruce was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. In his later years, he enjoyed cooking, making several amazing and tasty meals, gardening, being outside and mushroom hunting. Bruce was a kind and caring man and would help others whenever he had a chance.
He loved spending time with his loving family and friends. Bruce was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Joshua Snyder, Karlie Mathews, Kateline (Christopher Ginn) Mathews; grandchildren, Brayden Snyder, Alexis Snyder, Liah Morrison, Laithen Snyder and Baker Ginn; mother, Loretta Jean (Denny) Kramer; siblings, David Mathews, Greg Mathews, Debbie (Terry) Kipker and Mike Mathews; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Mathews; brother, Jeffery Mathews; grandmother, Edna Costello; uncle, Gary Wilcoxon.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. A private family service will take place at a later date.
