KEITH |
Corey S. Keith, 28, of 220 S. Main St., DeGraff, was charged Wednesday with two counts of misuse of a credit card and one count of theft related to thefts from his sister.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received a report Wednesday from his sister, Ashley Strayer, 33, of the same address.
She said she had been notified by her bank, United Midwest Savings Bank in DeGraff, about unrelated fraudulent activity to her account. While looking through her bank statements, she noticed two ATM withdrawals that she had not authorized on Saturday and Tuesday.
Deputies reviewed video surveillance footage from the bank, and observed Mr. Keith using the ATM on those two occasions.
When questioned by deputies, the defendant admitted to using his sister’s ATM/debit card to obtain money to buy drugs.
Ms. Strayer also had reported that her wedding ring set was missing, and deputies learned that the defendant had pawned the jewelry. He was also issued the theft charge and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
