Judge Kevin P. Braig of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas sentenced Dennis Jay Bradshaw Jr. Friday to 53 to 58 1/2 years in prison on his convictions on seven felony offenses involving sexual misconduct with two minor females.
Dec. 17, a Logan County jury found Bradshaw, 42, guilty of two counts of rape, felonies of the first degree; one count of attempted rape, a felony of the second degree; and four counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the third and fourth degree.
The jury also acquitted Bradshaw of gross sexual imposition.
One of the victims and several members of the victim’s family and friends addressed the court during and emotional sentencing hearing.
The defendant chose not to personally address the Court and continued to maintain he was not guilty of the offenses. His attorney, John Cunningham of Dayton, indicated during the hearing that an appeal of the convictions is likely.
Logan County Assistant Prosecutor Alice Robinson-Bond represented the State of Ohio during the hearing.
