Darnell K. Aubrey, 33, of 308 E. Center St., West Mansfield, was charged with felonious assault, abduction and domestic violence following an incident Tuesday evening at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 5:50 p.m. to an assault complaint at the residence.
Resident Russell Ratleff, 42, answered the door at the home, and deputies asked him whether the assault victim, Whitney Davis, 34, of that address, was at home. Mr. Ratleff said Ms. Davis rented a room from him, but claimed that he had not seen her that day.
After further investigation, deputies determined that Mr. Ratleff had two Logan County Family Court warrants for his arrest. Upon further questioning, Mr. Ratleff allowed deputies to search the residence.
Deputies found that Ms. Davis had been in a second floor room, and she was visibly upset and had visible injuries.
She reportedly had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, Mr. Aubrey. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Mr. Ratleff also was arrested on the warrants.
Ms. Davis was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital, where she was treated and released.
This incident remains under investigation, and deputies expect to file additional charges.
Charge issued after gas station incident
Dillion Rhoades, 30, of 6839 W. State Route 274, Huntsville, was charged with domestic violence following an incident Tuesday evening at the Huntsville Marathon, 6990 State Route 117, Huntsville.
Deputies responded to the gas station about 7:45 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute. Employee Sara Rhoades, 28, said she had been outside taking her break when her ex-husband, Mr. Rhoades, arrived.
She said that they argued and that he tried to take her phone. Ms. Rhoades then ran back into the gas station and went into a back room. The defendant reportedly forced his way into the room and grabbed her by the wrists and she fell to the ground.
Deputies report that Ms. Rhoades was not injured. Mr. Rhoades was located at his residence, and he was transported to the jail.
Driver, passenger issued charges

A driver and passenger were issued charges Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop that followed an initial report of a domestic dispute at 747 S. County Road 5, Zanesfield.
Deputies responded to the residence about 1:20 p.m., and spoke with Casey Allen, who said her live-in boyfriend, Jakob Ford, 20, had made threats toward her. He then reportedly left in a vehicle operated by William M. Dolan III, 22, of Marysville.
The vehicle was located on east Columbus Avenue in Bellefontaine and a traffic stop was initiated. The passenger, Mr. Ford, denied making threats toward Ms. Allen. Deputies located drug paraphernalia in his pants pocket, and he was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Dolan was issued charges for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and driving under suspension after a bag of suspected marijuana and a pipe were found in the vehicle. He was arrested on two Bellefontaine Municipal Court warrants.
