Investigators with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources are looking into a 10:30 a.m. Monday incident in which a boater nearly drowned in Indian Lake.
Witnesses say the boater went into the water and was unconscious when he resurfaced.
ODNR officers and personnel with the Indian Lake squad, Russells Point Fire Department, Lakeview Fire Department, Russells Point Police and Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Paradise Island area of the lake. The victim was revived and then transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was later transferred to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he is in critical condition, according to a Thursday media release from ODNR.
ODNR did not provide a name, age or hometown for the boater.
