The newly formed Chieftain Pride Ambassadors of Bellefontaine Middle School presented United Way with a check Monday for $1,128.85, representing the money they raised in a school-wide coin war this month. They are earmarking their gift specifically to the Logan County Neighborhood Outreach Center and the Lutheran Community Services Our Daily Bread programs because those agencies help BMS students after school with either homework help, safe and supervised activities, or food. Pictured are, from the left, first row: Clara Core; Chloe Heminger; Addison Prosser; Trinity Fout; and Sloan Stolly; and second row: TK Savage; Dave Bezusko, United Way; Ellie Lang; Natalie Snapp; Bella Hughes; and Mason Swisher. Students had to apply for membership and be accepted into the Chieftain Pride Ambassadors. The goal of the group is to spread Chieftain Pride throughout the school and beyond into the community. The top-giving classroom in each grade won a pizza party for their generosity. (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
