Benjamin Logan Middle School art students stamp and paint boxes that will be donated to 10 district families in conjunction with the BLMS Builders Club’s food and hygiene drive. School officials said close to 3,000 non-perishable and personal hygiene items were donated by students and staff for the collection drive. These items, along with turkeys, potatoes, rolls, and pumpkin pies donated by BLMS staff, will be distributed to the local families to help them celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition to preparing these boxes, the Builders Club will be donating the remaining food and hygiene items to local food banks. The Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students, with more than 45,000 members worldwide. Members learn to work together and develop servant-leaders skills as they serve their school and community. The Builders Club is supported by the Kiwanis International. Builders Club adviser Patty Price helped to organize this service project. (BENJAMIN LOGAN SCHOOLS PHOTO)
