Bellefontaine High School robotics team 9185A FOAB members Ben Parsons, Dustin Van Buskirk, Zane Warren and Micah Woolf recently competed at the Vex Robotics World Competition in Louisville, Ky., and finished 26th in the Science Division out of 96 teams.
This year marked Dustin’s second time at the world contest, and the other team members’ first time.
Team 9185A represented Bellefontaine as one of the top 2 percent of the 20,000 high school teams that competed around the world during the 2018-2019 season. The BHS pupils competed against students from a number of countries, including New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Chile, United Arab Emirates, Egypt , Canada, Puerto Rico, Macau, Lebanon, Taiwan, Australia, Mexico, Bahrain, China, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain.
Honda Transmission Mfg. sponsored the team, and other team donors included AGC, Alan Galvez Insurance, Aries Pharmacy, Duff Quarry, Honda of America, Ohio Ready Mix, Steve Austin’s Auto Group, Tri-State Transport LLC and Wendy’s.
