The Bellefontaine High School Success Center celebrated student achievement earlier this month by recognizing 21 students who completed their course work and graduated from BHS.
Several awards were presented at the Success Center graduation. Recipients include:
The 180 Award – Jeremy Glenn; Flash Award – Megan Turner; Look How Far You Have Come – Michael Wilgus; It’s the Climb – Kayla Henderson; Most Consistent — Tyler Bond; Just Keep Swimming – Courtney Davis; Honorary Staff Member – Chelsea Horsley; Under the Radar – Angel Garcia; Git ‘Er Done – Andrea Oliver; Dynamic Duo – Thomas and Brandon Hunsicker; and Quiet Stars – Kody Watts, Ethan Orahood, and Liz Parker;
In December, an additional 33 students completed their course work and graduated early.
The Success Center, which opened in 2017, is located in the BHS Library. Students can catch up on credits and receive academic support.
Molli Jackson serves as the Success Center coordinator. Jean Minnick and Jake Kennedy are Success Center teachers.
Utilized as an alternative space for students that struggle in their regular classroom, Success Center students can complete courses online as well as get extra help on outside classes.
Goals are set weekly for students to work towards academic success. Students who meet their goals earn Friday Rewards sponsored by CoverLink Insurance.
