Betty J. Ferryman, 86, of West Liberty, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Green Hills Retirement Community, West Liberty.
She was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Irwin, a daughter of the late Marion and Bessie Edwards VanHoose. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Willis, in 2004; sons, Jerry and Steven Ferryman; daughter-in-law, Joellen Ferryman; grandchildren, Zackery and Melissa Ferryman; and great-grandson, Brandon Tate Lane.
Survivors include daughters, Bonnie ( Lee) Wallace, and Kathy Jackson; son, Charles (Jeannie) Ferryman; daughter-in-law, Penny Ferryman; grandchildren, Lori Leiss, Bryan ( Andrea) Lane, Shawn (Melissa) Anverse, Christian Roll, Rachel Hayes, Josh Ferryman, Kari Ferryman and Scott Wallace; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Peters; several nieces and nephews. Betty retired from Ranco of Plain City and attended the High Point Church of Christ in Bellefontaine.
Pastor Mike Sandlin officiates a memorial service at noon Monday, May 2, at the Hi-Point Church of Christ, 1815 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, where visitation is one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Green Hills Retirement Community, 6555 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, OH 43357.
