Benjamin Logan’s wrestling team swept a tri-meet with visiting Jonathan Alder and London on Friday night.
The Raiders rolled past London 42-17 in the opening dual and later defeated Jonathan Alder 42-36. The Pioneers won the night’s other dual with a 35-18 victory against the Red Raiders.
“We scheduled this meet as a good tune up for the sectional tournament next weekend,” said BL head coach Kyle Seeley. “We were excited to host in our own high school gym tonight and to send our lone senior Orin Reames out in front of everyone tonight.”
Leading Ben Logan’s wrestlers Friday night were Mitch Current (145/152) and Mason Plikerd (160) who both went 2-0 with two pins. Current recorded falls in 24 seconds and 41 seconds, while Plikerd had a pin in 25 seconds and 2:21.
“Mason and Mitch both went 2-0 in matches that were wrestled (and not forfeits),” said Seeley. “They were solid and we just need to get back in the room and keep working.”
