Benjamin Logan’s wrestling team warmed up for the Division III state dual championships on Sunday by handling visiting Springfield and Sidney at home on Thursday during a tri-meet.
The Raiders blanked the Wildcats 75-0 in the first dual and went on to handle the Yellow Jackets 75-3. There were only nine total matches wrestled between the two squads, with the rest being forfeits. Ben Logan’s dual meet record is now 11-0 on the season.
Owen O’Brien (113/120) highlighted the Raiders by going 2-0 with two pins. Jayden Sturgell (120/126), Chris Raterman (132) and Joel Abbott (152) all went 2-0 with one pin and a forfeit.
Finishing 2-0 with a decision and a forfeit were Henry Myers (138), Steele Boysel (182) and Noah Clark (195). Also finishing 2-0 with two forfeits were Kade Thomas (106/113), Brayden Varian (160), Garrett Henry (170), Matthew Creamer (220) and Cadman Roose (285).
Levi Hunter (126) went 1-0 with a pin, Rachel Mears (106) picked up a forfeit and Matthe Beikman (145) finished 1-1 with a forfeit.
Ben Logan competes in the Division III state dual championships Sunday at St. John Arena in Columbus. The seventh-seeded Raiders take on second-seeded Waynedale at 1:15 p.m.
