Benjamin Logan’s softball team found its groove midway through Thursday’s game against host Bellefontaine and pulled away for a 10-2 win in Central Buckeye Conference action at Blue Jacket Park.
The Raiders move to 10-6 overall and 8-5 in the Mad River division standings, while the Chiefs fall to 6-14, 5-8.
“The girls played awesome team ball,” said Ben Logan head coach John Stahl. “We had great pitching, defense and hitting. When you can do these three things well, you’re going to win most of the time. We need to keep the momentum going.”
Ben Logan rolled up 15 hits and also benefited from a host of Bellefontaine fielding mistakes.
“We struggled defensively leading to six errors,” said BHS head coach Katie Buffkin. “That made the difference in the game.”
