Benjamin Logan’s varsity volleyball team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 25-15, 25-14, 25-8 win over visiting Springfield Shawnee on Tuesday.
For the Raiders, Lily Blackburn tallied 12 points with two aces and had four kills, Ryelle Gibson had 12 kills and eight service points with two aces, Makenna LeVan had eight kills, Macy Matthews recorded four kills, Kyndal Cronkleton tallied three kills, Lynzee Cronkleton had 18 assists, 15 points and three aces, Brielle Moorhouse handed out 11 assist and Mia Stahler had 23 digs and seven points.
Raiders cruise past Ada in straight sets
Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team won over Ada 25-14, 25-9, 25-10 on Monday in non-league action. Lynzee Cronkleton led the Raiders with 21 assists and also had 15 points and five aces.
Brielle Moorhouse dished out 10 assists and had six service points, Ryelle Gibson had 10 kills and four aces, Kyndal Cronkleton tallied seven kills, Lily Makin and Makenna LeVan tallied four kills each, Macy Matthews had five kills, Lily Blackburn recorded four kills, eight points and had two aces and Mia Stahler added 12 digs.
Ben Logan’s JV Black team won 25-17, 25-9.
Madelyn Harmon had eight points, two aces and 11 assists, MaKayla Williamson had six points, four aces and six kills, Brooks Meyers tallied seven points, three aces and four digs, Lexi Archer had four kills, Lexi Sutherly had three kills and Skylar Miracle added two kills.
Ben Logan’s JV Gold team beat Ada 25-15, 25-19. Kenzie Harrigan was 10-10 serving, Bailee Stover had 11 points and three aces, Kearstin Linkinhokerhad three points and three digs and Lauren Hemelgarn had four kills.
Tigers cruise past Triad
West Liberty-Salem’s varsity volleyball team stayed perfect Tuesday with a 25-3, 25-6, 25-6 win over host Triad.
The Tigers are now 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Ohio Heritage Conference.
Bailey Poppe led the Tigers attack with 11 kills and she added eight digs and was 4-6 serving. Gabby Williams had 30 assists, six digs and was 20-22 serving with three aces, Michelle Smith had four kills and two digs, Aleah Reed tallied four kills, Leah Ropp posted 10 kills and was 8-9 serving with three aces, Chaley Wade had six kills, Naomi McGill was 16-16 serving with four aces and Ally Gaver tallied eight digs and was 14-14 serving with two aces.
The JV Tigers won 25-6, 25-10. Londyn Loveless had six assists, Whitney Strapp was 17-18 serving with seven aces, Mallory Bostick had three kills, Cara Deam was 12-13 serving with four aces and Teagan Boyd added five digs.
Pirates grab league win
Riverside’s varsity volleyball team captured its first Three Rivers Conference win Tuesday with a 25-20, 25-13, 18-25, 25-13 victory over Bethel.
Sasha Stotler tallied four blocks, 11 kills and seven digs and Jenna Woods had 15 kills, five blocks and 14 digs to help spark the Pirates.
Also aiding in the win were Alaina Snow with 27 assists, 14 digs, 17 points and three aces, Jade Copas with three aces, three kills and 12 digs and Mazzy Johnson with four kills, three assists and two blocks.
In the junior varsity match, Riverside won 25-8, 25-8. Keianna Notestine had four digs, Avery Perk tallied five assists and seven aces and Jaidyn Jackson had six aces for the Pirates.
Lakers fall to Houston, London
Indian Lake’s varsity volleyball team was defeated by Houston 25-20, 25-21, 25-18 on Monday.
The Lakers are now 3-1 on the season.
Katie Roby was 17-17 serving with 29 digs to spark the Lakers. Halle Roby had four kills, 13 assists and 10 digs, Stephanie Altstaetter had 17 digs and Allison Kinney added seven kills.
In the junior varsity match, Indian Lake won 25-21, 25-20.
For the Lakers, Abigail Elliott was 12-12 serving with three aces and had three kills, Tori Roby was 11-12 serving and had two kills, Kayla Schwaderer was 12-14 on serves received and had eight digs and Devin Rice had two kills.
The Lakers were in action again Tuesday against London and were defeated 25-13, 16-25, 25-23, 25-17.
For the Lakers, Madison Brentlinger was 13-14 serving with nine kills, Katie Roby was 11-11 serving, two aces and 15 digs, Kendall Cotterman was 13-14 serving with three aces and had 15 digs, Ally Kinney was 13-14 serving with six kills, Stephanie Altstaetter was 13-14 serving and had six kills and nine digs and Shania Fruchey had six kills and 10 digs.
London won the JV match 25-10, 22-25, 25-11.
For the Lakers, Tori Roby was 12-12 serving with three aces, Kayla Schwaderer was 17-18 on serves received and had seven digs, Geona Spires was 10-11 serves received, Devin Rice had four kills, Abigail Elliott had three kills and Kenzie Dixon added seven digs.
Spartans suffer loss
Calvary Christian’s varsity volleyball team was defeated by Genoa Christian 25-23, 25-14, 25-22 on Tuesday.
Emma Patton had two aces and four assists and Abby Jenkins tallied five kills for the Spartans.
