Ellise St. Clair, Bellefontaine High School sophomore student, has been appointed as the Ohio student representative for D.A.R.E., Drug Abuse Resistance Education, America this year.
She was approved to represent the state at a conference in Hawaii next month.
“I’ve always liked the idea of D.A.R.E. and the many opportunities it allowed and being a part of it has always been a big accomplishment for me,” Ellise said. “I was just enrolled in our D.A.R.E. club at our high school and I can’t wait to see what different activities and engagements that will open up for us as a team. I believe that being a part of this group will allow me to open up about more things and teach teens and young adults the importance of drug resistance and even teach people how to assist others in this specific field.”
Ohio hadn’t had a representative on the D.A.R.E. America’s Youth Advisory Board for years.
