The girls portion of the Bellefontaine summer swim team was victorious during Saturday’s home meet against Botkins.
Bellefontaine defeated Botkins 208-143 in the team rankings for the girls events. However, Botkins won the overall meet standings 394-324.
Skyler Tavenner highlighted the meet for Bellefontaine by breaking a record in the 50 butterfly with a time of 24.02.
For the girls, in the eight-and-under division, Annika Chappell won the 25 breaststroke.
In the 9-10 division, wins went to Alexis Buffkin the 50 freestyle and 25 breaststroke, Bridgette Walters in the 25 backstroke and Maddy Murray in the 50 backstroke.
For the 11-12 division, finishing first were the 100 medley relay team of Lauren Barhorst, Olivia Ullom, Alexis Buffkin and Marley Ropp, the 100 freestyle relay of Marley Ropp, Grace Barret, Barhorst and Ullom, Junette Ly in the 50 butterfly and 25 breaststroke, Marley Ropp in the 25 backstroke and 50 breaststroke and Barhorst in the 50 backstroke.
