Annual budget includes $58K for depot
A new fiscal officer was hired in Belle Center on Tuesday evening to replace one who submitted his resignation at the end of last week.
Village Council voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Chris Dinovo, who has worked as fiscal officer since mid-2013, who Mayor Teresa Johnston said “resigned without cause to pursue other interests.”
The mayor then announced that she had already appointed Audry Porter, who is in the process of obtaining her associate degree in accounting, and asked council to confirm her selection.
“She is young, committed to this village, committed to this government and giving us the stability we need in the fiscal officer position,” Mayor Johnston said. “We need someone with stability to fill this position and I believe she is that person.”
Ms. Porter graduated from Bellefontaine High School and has resided in Belle Center about five years, the mayor said.
Council unanimously confirmed the mayor’s appointment.
