Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team struggled to get its offense going against host Vanadlia Butler on Monday as the Aviators held on for a 30-24 non-league win.
The Raiders drop their record to 7-11 overall as the Aviators move to 13-5.
Points were at a premium all night. Vandalia Butler took a 7-4 lead after the opening quarter, but Ben Logan went on a 10-7 run in the second quarter. That tied the game 14-14 at halftime.
The Aviators moved back in front in the third quarter with a 10-5 run for a 24-19 advantage. Butler held off Ben Logan in the fourth quarter with a 6-5 effort.
Kerry Copenhaver led the Raiders on offense with seven points, Kayla Reeves had five points and Elliott Bailey chipped in four points.
In junior varsity action, Butler dropped Ben Logan 30-18. Bailey led the Raiders with five points and Cheyanne Peterson had four points.
Ben Logan hosts Indian Lake on Thursday for a local Central Buckeye Conference contest. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but has been moved back a day because of illnesses on the IL squad.
