DeGraff Village Council members accepted at their recent meeting the resignation of DeGraff Police Department auxiliary officer Dustin Hickerson, and also approved the hire of two new auxiliary officers.
Village officials report that Mr. Hickerson has accepted a full-time position with the Coldwater Police Department.
Deton Brookshire, and Elise L. Law each was approved as a new auxiliary patrol officer, contingent upon a background check and a passed physical.
The council also accepted the resignation of Tom Taylor, part-time assistant operator at the DeGraff and Quincy Joint Sewer Plant.
Resident Beth Neeley addressed council and expressed interest in a vacant council seat.
Councilman Chuck Bertschman reported that the trustees have conducted interviews to fill the sexton position for the Greenwood-Union Cemetery.
The 2016 annual appropriations were approved as presented by the fiscal officer. The 2016 Certificate of Estimated Revenues will be submitted to the Logan County Auditor.
Members also convened in executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters concerning village public employees. No action taken after the session.
The next meeting is 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at 107 S. Main St., DeGraff.
