BODENMILLER |
Seth’s Bodenmiller’s coaching career is on a very fast track.
Just two years removed from college and with one year of experience as an assistant coach, the 23-year-old Bodenmiller was named Riverside’s new head boys basketball coach this week.
It was announced at Riverside’s board of education meeting Wednesday that Bodenmiller is replacing Dean Sanford, who recently stepped down after two seasons.
Bodenmiller is a Jackson Center graduate who also teaches math at Riverside. He served as the Pirates’ junior varsity coach during the 2015-16 season and led the team to a 13-9 record.
“Coach Sanford really did an excellent job this year to model what all goes into running a varsity program,” said Bodenmiller. “Through working with him, I was able to see a lot of the behind the scenes work that is required of a varsity head coach. I am extremely grateful and appreciative of everything that he has done for me this past year.”
