Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team found itself outmatched Wednesday as visiting Tecumseh rumbled its way to a 71-27 Central Buckeye Conference victory.
The Chiefs fall to 10-11 overall and 4-6 in the CBC Kenton Trail. The Arrows finish at 12-10, 8-2.
Tecumseh led 13-7 after the opening quarter and outscored Bellefontaine 18-10 in the second quarter. That pushed the Arrows out to a 31-17 advantage by halftime.
The third quarter saw Tecumseh use a 19-4 run to stretch its lead to a 50-21 score. The Arrows dominated the final period 21-6 to ice the win.
Hannah Rader fueled the Chieftain offense with 14 points and Megan Neal chipped in four points.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine clipped Tecumseh 25-24. Katie Pool and Lizzy Pool each had eight points for the Chiefs. BHS hosts Lehman Catholic on Saturday for their regular season finale.
