The Belle Center Fireworks Committee has reported strong support to proceed with a fireworks show this Fourth of July, and the annual display will proceed Saturday in accordance with social distancing protocols.
Independence Day festivities in the village of Belle Center commence Saturday with a modified format. Still, traditional activities such as the car show and parade will proceed with social distancing measures in place. A morning and afternoon’s worth of festivities lead up to a large fireworks show at dusk.
Schedule of events for Belle Center’s Independence Day celebration Saturday, July 4:
• 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. — Pancake breakfast at the Richland Township Fire Station.
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — “Classics on Main” car show, uptown.
• 11 a.m. — Parade line-up.
• Noon — Parade.
• 2 to 4 p.m. — Music and more at the shelter house.
• 6 p.m. — Kids and adult games, ball diamond behind the Memorial Building.
• 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.— Cherry Bombs band.
• 10 p.m. — Fireworks.
Many of the same concessions are back again this year, representatives report. Take lawn chairs. Golf carts are not permitted inside the parks.
