Ann L. Haines Dye Lucas Claude, 79, of West Liberty, left this world Sunday, April 3, 2016, at her home, which was her wish.
She was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Eldon Owen and Opal Niles Haines. She also was preceded in death by her stepfather, Lowell Brenner; son, Herbert “Nelson” Dye Jr.; and brothers, Eldon L. Haines Jr. and Ray E. Haines.
Ann is survived by her children, Jerry L. Dye of Springfield, Daniel K. Dye and Linda E. Crew, both of Bellefontaine, and Lee (David) Musser-Chupp of Indiana; grandchildren, Jacob Dye, Dustie (Bill Sadler) Stewart, Julie Dye, Danny Dye II, Amber (Billy) Bush, Greg Cantrell, Heather Doyle, Eric Mohringer, Caitlin Spurlock and Noah Dye; great-grandchildren, Allyson Williams, Taryn Doyle, Adriana Jones, Mercedes Mohringer, Shaun Eric Sims III, Tilly Kate Stewart, Josie Dye and Grayson Dye; sisters, Bea McGee of Arizona and Joan (Charles) Halterman of West Liberty; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, “Rambo.”
She was a 1954 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and retired with 15 years of service from Wal-Mart, where she was known as “Grandma.”
Chaplain Steven Brad Jackson officiates a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, West Liberty, where visitation is one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 655 Metro Place South, Dublin, OH 43017; or Catholic Social Services PASSPORT Program, which was amazing help for the family.
