Riverside and Ridgemont’s boys basketball teams combined for seven players on the Northwest Central Conference all-league team.
Local players earning first-team honors were Riverside’s John Zumberger and Ridgemont’s Landon Newland, while the Gophers’ Mason Stuck received second-team honors.
Receiving honorable mention selections were Riverside’s Landon Stewart and Walker Whitaker and Ridgemont’s Jayden Streets and Austin Elsasser.
Lima Perry took the league’s top honors with Bubby Knight receiving the NWCC player of the year honor and Matt Tabler being named the NWCC coach of the year.
Rounding out the NWCC first-team squad were Lima Perry’s Knight, Upper Scioto Valley’s Connor Sanders, Hardin Northern’s Nevin Robson and Lehman Catholic’s Luke Frantz.
Others on the second team were Lima Perry’s Jeffery Simpson and Terry Riley, Upper Scioto Valley’s Jackson Rohrs, Lehman Catholic’s Justin Chapman and Hardin Northern’s Owen Wetherill.
Receiving honorable mention for each school were Elgin’s Carson Rife and Harrison Sager, Hardin Northern’s Luke Wilson and Cole Morris, Lehman Catholic’s Michael McFarland and Landon McIver, Lima Perry’s Ryan Yingst and Will Knight, Temple Christian’s Preston Patrick and Landon Callahan, Upper Scioto Valley’s Drew Stephens and Kadyn Hurley and Waynesfield-Goshen’s Layton Campbell and Jayden Elliott.
